The Bay Helpers
Help with a variety of sessions and events with The Bay Team
The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery is a nature and wellbeing programme aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation by connecting people to nature and to each other. The Bay runs a range of events and sessions, including wellbeing sessions, beach cleans, marine surveys, stargazing and nature walks. These take place in various locations around Barrow. If you enjoy meeting people and like nature, then this is the volunteering opportunity for you!
Roles vary, but typically include chatting to participants, helping to run activities and generally making sure everyone feels welcome and has a great time. No prior knowledge is needed and all training is provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed and there is the opportunity for first aid training for regular volunteers. Volunteer as little or often as you wish and sign up for the events of your choosing.
See here for more information on the kind of events you'd be helping with.
