Community engagement

Inspiring & connecting people

There is still a disconnect between our everyday human activities and the long-term impacts of our actions on the marine environment.

Through the recovery of our sea life and habitats, there is an opportunity to create experiences that will increase people’s enjoyment and appreciation of our coasts and seas. This is the key to inspiring action that protects and conserves our marine wildlife for the future.

No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced

Sir David Attenborough

Our goal

A society where where we all:

• Have a strong personal connection with wildlife, our seas and wild coastal places;
• People benefit from a wildlife-rich natural environment - giving them better health, well-being and economic security;
• Take action for wildlife and wild places, to bring about nature’s recovery sea.

we want to change that

What we are doing

We run marine and coastal community engagement projects to encourage people to explore and experience wildlife and wild places on the coast so that they see the value in protecting them for future generations to come.
