Christmas Tree Planting 2021

Real Christmas Tree Planting in the Dunes!

The Christmas trees play a vital role in our efforts to protect the Fylde coast against storms, tidal surges and climate change! The branches and pines from the trees stick out facing the sea to trap sand particles as they drift ashore, helping sand accumulate and eventually build new dunes.

We have various drop off locations along the Fylde Coast where you will be able to donate your tree to the campaign. Alternatively, if you are quick, Trinity Hospice have collection slots that you can book for your Christmas Tree to be collected by volunteers to be planted in the dunes!

Check out our Christmas Tree Planting Video below!

UPDATE: Under normal circumstances we would be inviting you to join us for a huge three day event where you could help us plant the thousands of Christmas Trees in the dunes. At the moment, we have not made the final decisions as to how this event will be run in the New Year. We will be closely checking the guidance as it comes out and updating our plans on here and our social media channels!
