Dune Slack Digging for World Wildlife Day

About the event
Sunday 3rd March is "World Wildlife Day" so what better way to celebrate than to help us create wetland habitats on Fylde Sand Dunes to encourage a greater diversity of wildlife! We'll be on Lytham St Anne's Local Nature Reserve, using spades and other hand tools to clear away the top layer of vegetation and dig down to the water table to create hollow wetlands known as dune slacks. Providing essential habitats for frogs, toads and newts in the area.
